Agriculture has been an integral part of the human ecosystem. However, traditional farming methods require a lot of human effort and are very time-consuming. Farm tilling is one of the most labor intensive operations in agriculture. Manual tiling of fields is very strenuous task while tractors incur high capital along with heavy fuel consumption costs.
This low-cost portable battery charged electric power tiller machine is a one-stop modern solution to enhance the conventional agriculture methods of farming, as it reduces the human effort, at a very negligible price using motorized tilling mechanism. The electric power tiller helps reduce the time and cost involved in tilling using a smart portable design thereby increasing the productivity and efficiency in agriculture.
The Portable Electric Power Tiller delivers a load of advantages including:
- Automatic Operation
- Battery Powered No Fuel Needed
- Portable and easy to operate
- Cost-effective as compared to a tractor
- Replacement for animal power & human effort.
- Reduces tilling time
The machine makes use of a wheel with welded angles to provide efficient gripping on soil. The wheel design is developed to provide a firm grip on soil strong enough to drag the cultivator forks while tilling process. A switch provided on the handle is used to switch on off the machine. The machine is driven by an electric motor which uses a sprocket chain arrangement to drive the pulling wheel.
A battery is used to power the motor with a force capable of pulling the forks through soil. The 3 x cultivator forks allow for easy and narrow tilling exactly as needed for farming. The portable lightweight design makes it easy to control the direction of machine while in use. Also it can be easily carried around in vehicles or by hand for transporting the machine. Thus the electric power tiller provides a smart innovative fuel free mechanism to farm and garden tilling.

Robotic arms are now used in a wide variety of applications, from industrial automation to automatic burger making arms. The key component of any automatic robotic arm is its ability to learn motions or the ability of arms to be programmable by the user. This usually involves programming the arm each time with set of instructions to be followed.
Well we hereby develop a smartphone controlled programmable robotic arm that can be easily programmed via a smartphone to perform any automated repetitive tasks as desired by user. The arm makes use of 6 servo motors controlled by an arduino Uno to achieve the task.
This Arduino powered arm provides the following advantages:
- 6 DOF arm for 360° Movements
- Programmable Arm as per user automation process
- Smartphone controlled system with no added programming hardware needed
- Easy to control movements with sliders instead of complicated programming
The 6 Dof arm makes use of 6 servo motors controlled by an arduino Uno controller. The controller is interfaced with a Bluetooth receiver that is used to receive commands via the android app. The arm gripper is made up of 2 claws which are also controlled by a servo motor. The gripper angle is also be rotated by another servo for a 180° orientation to pick up and place objects of any orientation.
The android app consists of an easy to use gui with sliders used to transmit servo movement commands. The user can record steps and save each step through the app.
The programming commands transmitted by app are received by the Bluetooth receiver and passed over to arduino controller. The controller records movement commands of each servo step and saves it. The controller can now repeat the set of steps so as to execute the entire movement command with desired coordination with each servo to achieve the program repetitively.
Thus the system provides a smart mechanism to use a 360° programmable robotic arm with smartphone controlled system.

3. Portable 3 in 1 Car Washer & Wiper
Washing the cars is a tedious job for car owners. And if you drive past any car wash on a weekend and you’ll see cars lined up expecting their turn within the wash tunnel which also empties half your pocket if you find a pot. We have to pay to get our car washed, but why pay the expensive price for a car wash when you can get the same results doing it yourself. Well we here design and develop a smart portable car washing machine for the same purpose.
The car washer works on the principle that water and solution are released with pressure from the nozzle and water can be released either individually or with the solution. This device consists of a brush mounted in a handle with water and detergent, or soap. The machine when operated discharges the water, with or without the soap, onto the brush. The added benefit of this product is that the sponge type brush is rotated with the assistance of an electrical motor which is fitted into the handle or the nozzle.
Another criterion used in this device is that the pressure and the speed of the water flowing or coming out through the nozzle can be controlled during the washing and rinsing of the vehicle. Also, the solution and the water are separated with two different pipes that come in the nozzle or handle through the pump. After the vehicle is washed with soap or detergent suds the vehicle could also be rinsed by isolating the availability of soap or detergent.
